Jay’s International COE
Are you familiar with COEs? OK, scratch that… I know that you are familiar with them, but maybe you never heard of them referred to as COEs. COE means Cab Over Engine. They are also called CabOvers.
My friend Jay just inherited a true “barn find” 1937 COE International Harvester D-300. I went out yesterday to help Jay with some other things, and while I was there I was able to shoot a few pics of the D-300 in the place it has been residing for the last few years.
Honestly, I don’t know that much about the truck. About all I was able to figure out is that they were made from about 1937 until 1943. They are also quite popular… and have a very dedicated following on the internet.
We always hear about “barn finds”. They have almost seemed to be urban legends. However, they do exist… So, this might not be a rare Ferrari, or a muscle car that was only rumored to exist. But, it is kind of cool… and there aren’t millions of these trucks.
If you are interested, I think it might be coming up for sale soon.
